Trophies and Awards

The South Bay Hyphy League recognizes season long and dynasty awards for Players, Teams and Coaches. There is one travelling trophy award to the SBHL champion each year, that resides with the winning owner for the entire following season, and one trophy that the owner gets to keep to mark the year a team they won.

Team Trophies

The South Bay Hyphy League awards 2 trophies each year to the Champion of the Hyphy Bowl. The

South Bay Hyphy Trophy

The South Bay Hyphy Trophy is a travelling trophy awarded to the winner of the Hyphy Bowl each year. The winner retains ownership of the trophy for the entire season, and passes it on to the champion of the next season at the SBHL Rookie Draft. Each year is commemorated with a plaque that details the Team Name, Owner and Year Won.

Shawn Brown Trophy

The Shawn Brown Trophy is a replica Vince Lombardi Trophy, that the winner of the Hyphy Bowl each year gets to keep. It is named after the first commissioner of the South Bay Hyphy League.

Since the winner of the trophy is allowed to keep this trophy, a new trophy is ordered every year. The trophy includes a specialized name plate to commemorate the Team Name and Year they won.

Players and Coach Awards

The SBHL recognizes a number of awards for its players and coaches. The most prestigious award is the SBHL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. Other major player awards include the Best QB, Best RB, Best WR, Best TE, and Rookie of the Year, and the Hyphy Bowl MVP.
