While a few teams ebb and flow through the rankings this week. Most are just anchoring themselves down where they're at. SINCERE’s Team and TD Do You Love Me, bully Horsedick Boy’z out of the top 3 as Ronnies Squad holds firm. A few injuries in week 4 may be the curveball needed to shake up these rankings. Here’s how everyone ranks after this fourth week of the season:
Week 3 ranking: 3 (▲2)
There’s no more appropriate spot, for a 4-0 team with the 2nd highest point total, than number #1. Like Arkham Asylum, everyone broke out this 4th week and AbeFroman was not the hero the league needed. WR’s Deebo Samuel and Mike Evans, as well as RB’s Christian McCaffrey and Rashaad Penny, all nearly doubled or more, any points they have ever scored this year. They say bright flames burn the quickest, but at 4-0, SINCERE’S Team looks like they have enough fuel to against Julio Think You Are? I Am! In week 5.
Week 3 ranking: 2 ◄►
The first team to break the 550 points mark, on the season (558.90 total pts), Ronnie's Squad is proving to be a brawler, peppering all of his opponents with points. Never scoring less than 136 points before, Week 4’s 89.56 point total was very uncharacteristic. Luckily BUE’s skeleton team was not able to capitalize. Ronnie's Squad better hope the output of week 4 was an anomaly as they will need to give stronger performance against TD Do You Love Me, in Week 5, as he paces himself up the Power Ranking mountain.
Week 3 ranking: 4 (▲1)
I said RB Derrick Henry would need another 22+ point game to secure the win against high point scorer, Julio Think You Are? I Am! and he performed his duty well. RB Austin Ekeler doubled his projected point total with 31.90 points in week 4. With big point drops like that, he will be hard to beat. He’ll need to continue to light it up when he faces Ronnie's Squad’s high output team, in Week 5.
Week 3 ranking: 1 (▼3)
While more than doubling JonLegends score in Week 4, his 94.76 points for the week, hurt his stock quite a bit. QB Lamar Jackson was just a shadow of what he was, the past two weeks, and his pass catchers all but disappeared. RBs Clyde Edwards-Helaire and J.K Dobbins shouldered Week 4’s point burden. He’ll have to get his team on the same page against last year’s Champion, ThatManAgain… if he expects to slow down his descent in the rankings.
Week 3 ranking: 5 ◄►
ThatManAgain… holds fast to the 5th position in the rankings, as a pitstop, in his ascension back to the top. While TE Kyle Pitts still finds his groove and with RB Jonathan Taylor injured, his other players still found a way to out score Team_MAGA. Luckily, on the bench, RB Josh Jacobs (32 points) proved that he is ready to step in, and possibly lock himself in the starting line-up, in Week 5 against rival Horsedick Boy’z.
Week 3 ranking: 6 ◄►
Another tough loss against TD Do You Love Me. A healthy 126.18 points would mean a win against twelve other teams, in Week 4. But his opponent, who has been landing critical hits these past two weeks, kept the win at a distance. WR Garrett Wilson and RB Dalvin Cook will need to shake off the past’s underperformance and finally play to their potential as they will step in the wake of undefeated and number 1 ranked, SINCERE’s Team. All is not lost, however, as Yahoo projects an upset win against SINCERE’s Team 132 -128.
Week 3 ranking: 7 ◄►
The 37th Chamber got the win against I’ll Fuck Your Dad… but at what cost. The 37th Chamber hangs on to the 7th ranking with merely 78.26 points on the week. Plagued with Quarterback inadequacy and a season ending injury to his star player, RB Javonte Williams, his point total took a dive. Team_MAGA has shown inconsistent point totals week after week, so there's a chance The 37th Chamber may be able to squeeze out another victory.
8. SexySandwich
Week 3 ranking: 11 (▲3)
A win against Subject To Change, brought him into the “50% win ratio club”. Which pairs well with his 8/16 PPG. Rank 8 out of 16 may seem to fit well, but if his pass catchers can see more targets, he can step out of limbo and climb up higher. Fortunately, barring a wild twist of fate, SexySandwich should step up and over JonLegends, who is currently the lowest total point scorer in the league.
9. Team_MAGA
Week 3 ranking: 9 ◄►
WR’s Amari Cooper and Greg Dortch were hot the past two weeks, however in Week 4, they both seemed to burn out. With a combined total of 2.5 points. RB Myles Sanders and QB Justin Herbert did bounce back strong from their poor showing in Week 3 and will need to keep that momentum into week 5 against the (3-1)The 37th Chamber.
10. Shawn Brady
Week 3 ranking: 8 (▼2)
Shawn Brady is heating up with two wins in a row. Although he had an overall low score, TE T.J Hockenson greatly exceeded expectations and carried Shawn Brady to victory. Hockenson outscored the total of all other pass catchers on his team. While that may be good for the win this week. He’ll have to do something to get more points from his other players, when he faces BUE, if he wants to change his trajectory.
11. AbeFroman
Week 3 ranking: 10 (▼1)
A Respectable 118 points from AbeFroman in Week 4, however it was no match for the number 1 ranked, SINCERE’s Team. WR's Brandin Cooks, Alan Lazard, and Isaiah McKenzie are starting to sync up and produce points, and RB Dameon Pierce is taking lead. However, his lack of other leading backs is stunting his growth. Should something happen to the lead backs of the Vikings or the Packers, that’ll shift his team-dynamic greatly in his favor. If things go as expected, AbeFroman should add a victory to his records, after facing (0-4)The Gold Standard.
Week 3 ranking: 13 (▲1)
WR's Hunter Renfrow and Allen Robinson, as well as RB Travis Etienne Jr. were no help for Subject To Change. Despite the loss, he still moves up in our ranks, as he still outscored two other teams this week. Just like last week, it’ll require Allen Robinson, as well as RB Travis Etienne Jr. to meet their much higher expectations for Subject To Change to gain a win. He’ll have the best chance next week when he faces I’ll Fuck Your Dad, who only scored 70 point this week.
13. BUE
Week 3 ranking: 14 (▲1)
BUE could not take advantage of Ronnie's Squad’s worst game of the season and lost, with only 3 players scoring over 10 points, K Tyler Bass, being one of them. With two big injuries to RB Cordarrel Patterson and WR Treylon Burks, BUE will have a hard time finding more points. Eager to find footing and turn things around, BUE will seek lean on the inconsistencies of Week 5 opponent, Shawn Brady, and hope to sneak out with a win
Week 3 ranking: 12 (▼2)
With the third lowest point total for the season, the loss against The 37th Chamber, drops I’ll Fuck Your Dad two positions in the rankings. Only three players on his team scored more than 8 points in Week 4. While there's weakness across the board, WR Richie James Jr. ended with a total of -0.60. Expect to see some changes in his starting roster as he prepares to face Subject To Change in Week 5. While the window of opportunity is narrow, it is present, as Subject To Change has been facing underperformances from his key players lately.
Week 3 ranking: 15 ◄►
Another one bite the dust. QB Tua Tagovailoa got injured early and will be out for week 5. At least he has his handcuff, Teddy Bridgewatter. An out-of-nowhere breakout game by T.J Hockenson slipped a possible victory out his hand this week. His Miami players face a soft team, in the New York Jets, although it might not be enough to overtake AbeFroman in Week 5.
16. JonLegends
Week 3 ranking: 16 ◄►
Even with a down week, Horsdick Boy’z ended week 4 with a win over JonLegends. Only two players, WR's Adam Thielen and Alec Pierce scored more than 6 points. Where will JonLegends look, for more points? He may just have to bide his time until the gem, free agent pick-up, shows itself to pump blood in the lowest scoring team within the SBHL
With so many underperformers, there’s room for bounce back games. When there's plenty of injuries, there's plenty of roster moves. Who will have the greatest upset in week 5? I’ll be following Ronnie's Squad vs TD Do You Love Me. Ronnie's Squad has been a staple in the top 2 position, but TD Do You Love Me has been popping off lately and is primed to take over. Those who prepared their benches well, will do well, with the injury bug going around, if not, you might try your luck on the waiver wire. We will see how this all plays out in the next issue of The SBHL Magazine.
