The first week of interconference play kicks off with the 101 Heroes taking on the 280 Leaders, and the 101 Legends taking on the 280 Victors. Despite the 280 conference rocking higher average scores per game, there were no clean sweeps of any of the divisions.
1. Cold Hearted Krispies ◄►
6-2 | 130.40 PPGCold Hearted Krispies was less than 3 points away from leaving Week 8 with a loss. Coincidentally that was all QB Patrick Mahomes scored (3.64 points.) Without too much resistance ahead, and leading the Victors division by a few games, CHK is looking good for another post season berth.
Key Injuries: RB Derrick Henry (questionable), WR Kendrick Bourne (out), WR Curtis Samuel (questionable)
2. Shawn Brady (▲1)
7-1 | 116.90 PPGShawn Brady posted an impressive score last week (160.08 points,) which still only second to Ronnie's Squad (160.16 points.) Shawn Brady has surprised many with this season's performance. They still appear to be outclassed if they make it to the playoffs, as most of the other playoff-bound teams have higher average Points Per Game(s). Shawn Brady's starting lineup would have had all double-digit performances, if it wasn't for the 0.60 point effort by WR Kadarius Toney.
Key Injuries: WR Robert Woods (doubtful)
3. Ronnie's Squad (▼1)
5-3 | 128.60 PPGRonnie's Squad was the highest scorer for the 3rd time this season. They only drop in our rankings due to record and Week 9 projected lineup. Ronnie's Squad has proven that not every team needs a stable of RB's to be successful, as long as it's supplemented by high performing players elsewhere. This is yet another week that Ronnie's Squad's RB room both posted a single-digit score, but massive games by the WR core led to a victory and leading the league in points scored this week.
Key Injuries: WR Justin Jefferson (IR, out for at least 3 weeks)
4. SexySandwich (▲1)
7-1 | 106.00 PPGSexySandwich has coasted to a quiet 7 and 1 record. Although they have been a victim of several injuries, they have still found a way to pull out some wins and still average 100+ points per game.
Key Injuries: QB Daniel Jones (questionable), RB Nick Chubb (season-ending), RB Kyren Williams (IR, indefinite), TE Darren Waller (questionable)
5. Julio Think You Are? I Am! (▼1)
7-1 | 97.50 PPGJulio Think You Are? I Am! vastly underperformed their projection (projected 113.70 points, actual 86.14 points,) but they still manage to walk away with a win. Only four players on JTYAIA scored double digits, one of them being K Cameron Dicker. JTYAIA has had run of players who alternate weeks where they perform like weekly winners, and others when they perform as complete liabilities. With every win, JTYAIA is inching closer to securing a playoff berth and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
Key Injuries: QB Kyler Murray (PUP list, eligible for return), RB De'Von Achane (on IR, out for 3 weeks), WR DeAndre Hopkins (questionable)
6. SINCERE's Team ◄►
4-4 | 131.10 PPGSINCERE's Team had a pretty good outing in Week 8, scoring 5th highest, unfortunately they faced JonLegends, who scored higher. ST had 3 players put up zero spots, without much alternative on the bench, making a different judgement call might have resulted in a win. Dropping three straight games, made us drop ST down to #6.
Key Injuries: WR Deebo Samuel (out), WR Mike Evans (questionable), TE Zach Ertz (IR, out for 4 weeks), TE Gerald Everett (questionable)
7. ThatManAgain... (▲1)
6-2 | 97.30 PPGThatManAgain.... added another win to their record last week, but lowered their average points per game. With enough bench points to have posted a triple digit score, TMA defiantly belongs in the discussion for a Top 5 team, but until they increase their PPG, we have keep them on the outside looking in.
Key Injuries: WR Zay Jones (out)
8. Horsedick boy'z (▼1)
4-4 | 109.80 PPGWith this last loss, HDB drops to .500. As the pre-season favorite to win the Heroes division, HDB is really underperforming their expectation. Dropping to 3 games behind their division leader, and just 1 game ahead of #3 in the division, HDB will have to start stringing together some wins to ensure they make it to the playoffs. HDB scored 3rd highest this week, but unfortunately they faced the highest scoring team. Looking ahead they have a tough matchup against league rival Julio Think You Are? I Am!
Key Injuries: QB Deshaun Watson (questionable), RB J.K. Dobbins (out for season)
9. JonLegends (▲2)
4-4 | 97.10 PPGJonLegends has clawed their way in to 2nd place in their division, something that no one would have believed at the start of the season. Solid performances by RB Gus Edwards and rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs led JL to pick up a win against league powerhouse SINCERE's Team. If JL can keep this run going, they will be the first expansion team to reach the playoffs, a very impressive feat for only being their 2nd season.
Key Injuries: QB Baker Mayfield (questionable)
10. Subject to Change (▼1)
3-5 | 98.50 PPGSTC almost beat Power Ranking #1 Cold Hearted Krispies, had they have started their normal starting kicker Younghoe Koo. RB Travis Etienne Jr. continued his amazing season, almost willing his team to a win, scoring the highest points of the match (24.40 points.)
Key Injuries: RB James Conner (IR, out for 3 weeks)
11. The 37th Chamber (▼1)
3-5 | 94.20 PPGThe 37th Chamber faced some quarterback problems last week, which was ironically what their opponent (The Gold Standard) faced last last season. Missing the announcement that TEN QB Will Levis was starting, and SF QB Brock Purdy clearing the season's quickest concussion protocol (leaving 37C QB Sam Darnold in the starting lineup and not playing), 37C had a 0 spot for their QB slot this week. Starting QB Will Levis would have put 37C in striking distance, but would have ultimately come down to a judgement call spot start that could have gone either way.
Key Injuries: QB Justin Fields (quesitonable), RB Kahlil Herbert (IR, out for 3 weeks), WR Drake London (questionable), WR Puka Nacua (questionable), WR Mike Williams (season-ending ACL injury), TE Pat Freiermuthb (IR)
12. The Gold Standard (▲2)
3-5 | 87.90 PPGThe Gold Standard came away with another win this week, even with a negative score reported by one of their players. As they collect wins, and division rival SINCERE's Team going on an uncharacteristic losing streak, TGS might just be able to make a playoff push in the coming weeks.
Key Injuries: none
13. Team_MAGA (▼1)
3-5 | 87.80 PPGAfter dropping 3 straight games, TEAM_MAGA's quick start to the season has quickly come to a halt. TM started their typical lineup, and even without the two zero spots and three sub-5 point performances, they still probably would not have defeated their opponent, as Shawn Brady scored 2nd highest for the week.
Key Injuries: RB David Montgomery (out)
14. I'll Fuck Your Dad ◄►
1-7 | 74.30 PPGAnother week, another loss for IFYD. This week was particularly tough, as they lost QB number 2 on the season, QB Kirk Cousins. With a few key injuries, and a bench full of depth they are still figuring out, IFYD will have to switch something up if they want to compete for a playoff spot this year.
Key Injuries: QB Aaron Rodgers (season ending), QB Kirk Cousins (IR, out for 4 weeks),TE Dawson Knox (IR, limited practice)
15. 21 Cabbage ◄►
1-7 | 74.30 PPG21 Cabbage turned in another score that was better than 2 of the other expansion teams, but still falls short of the league average. 21C seems to still be a few pieces away from fielding a competitive roster. With the trade deadline looming, and 21C almost being mathematically out of the playoff hunt, let's see if 21C will make some moves to set their team up for success next season.
Key Injuries: QB Ryan Tannehill (questionable)
16. Untouchables ◄►
0-8 | 70.40 PPGUTCH had a very tough week, as many of their players scored sub-5 points, resulting in a 46.98 point effort from the entire team. Without the leadership of veteran WR Keenan Allen it seems like the UTCH players have phoned it in for this year. Looking forward, they might be able to steal a win in the coming weeks, with other teams having to deal with their own byes and injuries.
Key Injuries: QB Anthony Richardson (IR, out for season), QB Matthew Stafford (questionable), RB Damien Harris (IR), WR DeVante Parker (questionable)
