Trophy
Background
During the regular season TD Do You Love Me and Subject To Change did not play. Over the last 3 years between the two teams, they have faced each other 3 times. TD Do You Love Me leads the series 3-0.
Teams
TD Do You Love Me ended the 2022 season as the league #2 seed, going 12-2 under the direction of coach Cameron. This would mark the franchise's third playoff berth in three years. TD Do You Love Me had the hardest path to the Hyphy Bowl.
The Divisional Round TD Do You Love Me had to face-off against SINCERE's Team. This match was the highest scoring Divisional Round game, as TD Do You Love Me came out on top 145.34 - 136.26.
TD Do You Love Me then had to go up against the league #3 seed, Ronnie's Squad. This game did not live up to the hype as 151.66-74.82 was not as close as expected.
Important Players
Patrick Mahomes II (MVP) - 4,160 Passing Yards, 33 Pass TDs, 280 Rushing Yards, 2 Rush TDs
Derrick Henry (Best Veteran) - 1,199 Rush Yards, 11 Rush TDs, 26 Receptions, 320 Receiving Yards
Austin Ekeler (Best Running Back) - 634 Rush Yards, 8 Rush TDs, 93 Receptions, 623 Receiving Yards, 5 Receiving TD
The 2021 campaign for Subject To Change was an improvement on the 2020 season, as Subject To Change secured 2 more wins this season and went 7-7. Subject To Change was in a close playoff race with division rival The 37th Chamber, but two wins late in the season pushed Subject To Change in to 2nd place in the division, securing a playoff berth.
Going in to the Divisional Round, Subject To Change was the 30-point underdog, set to face-off against the #1 seed ThatManAgain..... In each of the regular season meetings between these two teams, STC took game 1 in Week 2 and TMA won the more recent Week 13 matchup. Subject To Change's players stepped up when need and several player outperformed their projection, Khalif Ryamond, and Subject To Change's playoff MVP James Cook. A weak performance by ThatManAgain....'s Devante Adams, DK Metcalf and an injury to Jonathan Taylor started STC's Cinderella run.
The Conference Championship pitted Subject To Change against #4 seed Horsedick boy'z (regular season 11-3). Again Subject To Change was a double-digit underdog (16 points). A terrible start by Derek Carr (5.36 points) and Marquise Goodwin (0.00 points) spelled a short playoff run for Subject To Change, but strong games from James Conner (21.50 points), Travis Kelce (14.30 points), Jerry Jeudy (14.70 points), Hunter Renfrow (12.20 points), Travis Etienne Jr. (12.70 points) and James Cook (17.30 points) gave Subject To Change the hope they needed to eek out a win (109.50-113.96).

Travis Kelce (MVP) - 81Receptions, 1,029 Receiving Yards, 12 Receiving TDs
Tyler Lockett (Best Veteran) - 65 Receptions, 805 Receiving Yards, 8 Receiving TDs

Game Summary
Thursday (15.50 - 0)
Hyphy Bowl II MVP, CeeDee Lamb, gave TD Do You Love Me a commanding lead on Thursday setting the pace with 15.50 points. Although he missed his projection, CeeDee still had a very respectable outing scoring just 0.23 points lower than projected.
Sunday Morning (61.72 - 88.06)
Sunday morning was going to set the tone for the rest of the Hyphy Bowl, Subject To Change had eight of their ten players playing, while TD Do You Love Me had a few powerhouses (Mahomes & Rhamondre) set to put up big points.
The first game (ARI vs ATL) had Subject To Change on pace to score their projected score, as James Conner and Younghoe Koo met expectations (-2.34 points).
The next Sunday AM game (CHI vs DET) had only Subject To Change's Kalif Raymond, an odd choice to start over Tyler Lockett, but it proved to be the better option, Kalif Raymond doubled both his own projection and Tyler Lockett's actual score.
Sunday's third morning game (JAX vs HOU) really opened the eyes of everyone watching the Hyphy Bowl. Three players played, one for TD Do You Love Me, Riley Patterson, and two for Subject To Change, Travis Etienne Jr. and Jordan Akins. Both Patterson and Akins scored with a point of their projections, so there wasn't much effect on the final score, but Travis Etienne Jr. scored 153% of his projection. Etienne Jr. scored all of his 21.50 points in the first half and was benched for the remainder of the game, as Jacksonville decided to rest him for their upcoming playoff run.
Two of the three games with remaining players from the morning slate featured both teams' quarterbacks as well as a complementing offensive player.
The DEN vs KC game featured TD Do You Love Me's Patrick Mahomes II, Subject To Change's Travis Kelce & Jerry Jeudy. Mahomes must have heard the wishes of Cameron (TD Do You Love Me's Head Coach) as Mahomes passed for 328 yards for 3 TD's pretty much ignoring Kelce. Kelce performance had only 43 yards and no TD's, vastly underperforming his projected point total (7.80 points - proj. 16.47.) Jerry Jeudy turned in a decent performance only missing his projection by 3 points.
The NE vs MIA game featured TD Do You Love Me's flex, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Subject To Change's starting (and only available) QB, Mac Jones. Rhamondre underperformed his projection by 50% and was basically ignored in the passing game, posting a 42 rushing yard, 2 reception for 9 yard game. Meanwhile, Mac Jones had a better than projected game, throwing for 204 yards and 2 TDs, resulting in 20.26 points (proj. 16.66.)
The last of the Sunday morning games with any players playing was CLE vs WAS. TD Do You Love Me had Curtis Samuel playing. Samuel was having a roller coaster season, posting week winning double-digit games sporadically, while also being a liability and posting sub 5-point games. This game was the latter, Samuel only caught one ball for six yards resulting in a 1.10 point game.
Sunday Afternoon (110.42 - 91.46)
Going in to the Sunday Afternoon games, it looked like the Cinderella story that was Subject To Change's Championship run was going to have a good shot at coming to fruition.
The first game that would have any effect on the outcome was LV vs SF. Subject To Change had Hunter Renfrow playing. Renfrow just came off of a 12-point performance, but that was far from the case when he faced one of the best defenses in the NFL. Renfrow was held to just 3.40 points.
With the momentum for Subject To Change slowing down, this was where TD Do You Love Me could make up some ground. First to play, (SEA vs NYJ) Noah Fant, with a projection of 7.01 points, TD Do You Love Me was looking to close the 27+ point gap. Fant only had 2 receptions, but he made them count as he took them for 40 yards resulting in a 5 point performance.
TD Do You Love Me's next to go was a player Subject To Change lost to the expansion draft at the start of the season, that TD Do You Love Me traded for, AJ Dillon. Dillon was projected to 11.43 points and got pretty close, rushing for 41 yards and 1 TD, good for 10.10 points. That game also had TD Do You Love Me's rookie WR Romeo Doubs. Doubs scored more points than Renfrow, but still didn't pull his weight, only scoring 3.50 points (proj. 6.79.)
The Battle in LA was the last game of the afternoon games that had any players in the Hyphy Bowl. TD Do You Love Me had Austin Ekeler. Down by 11 points, TD Do You Love Me need Ekeler to have a strong performance. After the first quarter, nothing. Ekeler had 8 yards. To start the 2nd quarter, Herbert ignored Ekeler, and he only had 1 more 8 yard run. As the Chargers marched down the field, Ekeler capped the drive off with his first TD. On the next possession, Ekeler broke a 72-yard run for his 2nd TD of the game. Ekeler came through for TD Do You Love Me, putting up a 30.10 (proj. 19.39) point game.
Sunday Night (114.92 - 91.46)
With only one player for each team, this was TD Do You Love Me's chance to seal the game. Diontae Johnson was projected to score 9.98 points, giving TD Do You Love Me a nice 28-point league going in to the final game. Diontae Johnson scored less than half of his projection (9.98), only scoring 4.50 points, giving TD Do You Love Me the final score of 114.92 (underperforming their projected score by 12.57 points.)
Monday (114.92 - 91.46)
It all came down to one player, the savior of Subject To Change's miracle run, James Cook. James Cook needed 23.47 points to win the game and bring the first ever title to Subject To Change. James Cook exceeded projection to will Subject To Change to two underdog wins over ThatManAgain.... & Horsedick Boyz in the divisional and conference rounds. James Cook would need a good game to provide his team the win. Coming off of a 99 yard performance in Week 16, and a TD in each of his last two games, it was not out of the realm of possibility. Cook would need about 85 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards and 2 TDs to deliver 23 points. On the first drive of the game, Cook rushed for 20 yards.
The game was then cancelled.
With no agreement between either TD Do You Love Me or Subject To Change on how to resolve the issue, Commissioner Brown turned to the league. As the league was just as split, it was agreed upon to be a tie.
Box Score
